Hey there!

I am currently a designer at Messari, working across the entire product. I have shipped 0->1 features that drove $1M+ in revenue, iterated on growth experiments, built the company's first design system, and regularly contributed to the frontend codebase.

I thrive in fast-moving startup environments where clarity, iteration, and strategic thinking matter most.

I got to where I am the long way around. As a teen, I moved to the US from China, a profound wake-up call revealing the invisible norms of my own culture. I began to see there's more than one way to prepare a meal, to greet a stranger, or solve a problem.

This awareness greatly influences my work. When cross-functional partners see things differently, I become curious, recognizing that they are operating from a different “culture.” In fact, some of my best designs have come from leaning into those disagreements and incorporating the best of the bunch.

My career began in marketing, where I worked at a few startups specializing in analytics. Then I took a leap into curriculum design, teaching AI to middle school students.

Throughout these experiences, I immersed myself in various industries, including food, HR tech, K-12 education, and real estate. More importantly, I explored different ways of thinking, specifically business thinking and computational thinking. As a marketer, I make it a point to connect every design choice to a business goal, while my analytical side focuses on systematizing designs based on rules and principles.

What's inspiring me lately
